POSITION:    Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor—Technology Leadership & Innovation

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The Purdue Polytechnic Institute at South Bend is accepting applications for a tenure track, academic year faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level in the Technology Leadership & Innovation degree program.  Primary responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, including online instruction, student recruitment, and curriculum development.  The core focus of the position will be in the area of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.  The successful candidate must be able to teach in several of the following areas:  experimental design, ergonomics, statistical quality control, lean principles, operation management, financial/economic analysis,. Teaching on-campus, off-campus, using Blackboard and other educational technologies to reach students at a distance is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:  A PhD, in engineering, technology,  business administration/management, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; three years of applicable, documented industrial experience is required and two years of successfully demonstrated teaching experience at the university level is preferred. Be able to engage in scholarly activity for Grants and publications. Effective communication skills are necessary; as well as strong, positive teaching abilities. Successful candidates will be expected to support and be involved in the recruitment of students.

STARTING DATE:   As soon as possible.  SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications.
