Fall semester welcomes new degree program

Hard to believe, but it has finally arrived! The fall semester is beginning to ramp up, and it is truly exciting. I don’t ever tire of it. The campus is bustling with activity, the football team is practicing everyday now and I have even heard the deep bellowing sound of our own Purdue Boilermaker Special as it cruises around campus. It truly doesn’t get any better than this!

This fall, aside from our many existing program offerings, we are kicking off a new master’s degree program called Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Science (BIRS) as well as an attendant certificate alternative. The program will be offered in both the U.S. and Africa. The purpose of the program is to provide students education in the important aspects of biotechnology innovation within the context of regulatory compliance and quality assurance. Individuals completing this program will be qualified for employment in biotechnology innovation, regulatory affairs, quality control, and quality assurance departments in large corporations, biotechnology companies, start-up companies, innovative medical products companies, or in analogous departments in academic institutions. This program has already generated significant interest and participation!

As we begin this magnificent fall season and new academic year, I want to welcome back our existing students and wish them success as they complete their studies. I also want to welcome all of our new students beginning this fall. Whatever your training or educational needs, our ProSTAR staff is here to help you and answer any questions you may have. Enhancing your career, enhancing your life, is what we are here to help you do. In the end, it is all about you!

Thank you for being a part of our programs and we hope you and your family have a wonderful and most memorable fall season.

Go, Purdue!

Mitch
