In the news: Purdue Moves signal new day for university

The November/December edition of Purdue Alumnus delves into President Mitch Daniels's Purdue Moves, which include the creation of the Purdue Polytechnic Institute (PPI) in the College of Technology.

The PPI is introduced as "a hub for consumer-oriented technology research."

Gary Bertoline, dean of the College of Technology, told the Alumnus, “Instruction and research will be interdisciplinary-based, providing students with a well-rounded STEM education combined with critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment. Breaking away from the traditional education environment will unleash students’ enthusiasm and passion for learning, research, and discovery.”
