Allison Transmission hosts high school engineers in Indianapolis for Purdue evGrandPrix’s “Test and Tune”

High schoolers from all over Indiana recently converged at Allison Transmission's Demonstration Track in Indianapolis for an all-electric go-kart test session. For many of the teams joining Purdue's evGrandPrix "Test and Tune" events this season, this is their high school's first experience with electric vehicle design, and they have no plans of slowing down.

Anderson-area children introduced to food-related STEM careers

The Food Engineer Adventure summer camp offered in June by Purdue Polytechnic Anderson helped introduce kids to STEM education and career opportunities in the food sector. Participants learned about the food supply chain through hands-on activities, a field trip to a local farm, building an indoor garden, meal budgeting and shopping and a food challenge competition.

Polytechnic expands high-tech learning opportunities in Kokomo

Purdue Polytechnic’s Kokomo location now resides inside the newly renovated Inventrek Technology Park, which features expansive lab space for mechanical engineering technology and electrical engineering technology coursework and numerous other learning spaces. Students take advantage of seven times more workspace than was available at Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo’s previous location.
