CGT Graduate Students
Amol is a Phd student in Product Innovation and Development and pursing research for Dr. Nathan Hartman at the Purdue PLM Center of Excellence. His areas of interest and research are: CAD-PLM interoperability, LOTAR/PDM-PLM data archival and retrieval, and PLM integrations with ERP, SCM, etc. He has nine years of hands-on industry experience with PTC-ProE, ProI & Windchill and Siemens-Teamcenter suite of products mainly Teamcenter-Enterprise. He is currently pursuing academic research in the PLM field. Amol has had various roles working as Mechanical Designer as well as in the PLM software development and services/implementation industry. Other areas of interest in the PLM field also include PLM software quality assurance and system, business administration and configuration, and PLM tools competitive analysis/benchmarking.
John Pourcho is working towards his master's degree in Product Lifecycle Management from the College of Technology under the advisement Dr. Nathan Hartman. His research focus is based in aviation maintenance work instructions, specifically visual perception levels required for the technicians and what medium is best suited for their consumption. John graduated with a degree from Purdue in Computer Graphic Technology with a focus in Virtual Product Integration. That degree has given him exposure to various design software including the Adobe package, numerous CAD software systems, and 4 years of extensive experience with CATIA and Siemen's NX. He is currently working as a graduate research assistant for the aviation industry via Purdue's PLM Center of Excellence.
Nick is a Masters student in Computer Graphics Technology department at Purdue University working for Dr. Nathan Hartman in the Product Lifecycle Management Center of Excellence. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's in Computer Graphics Technology with a focus on Virtual Product Integration. He has studied model based working instructions and their effects on experts vs. novices for the aviation technology department. He is currently working with an industry partner in researching various Seimens NX modules and their use in PLM. His thesis topic is over model based manufacturing instructions.
Shawn is a Masters student in the Computer Graphics Technology department at Purdue University. He is currently working for Dr. Nathan Hartman in the Product Lifecycle Management Center of Excellence doing research for with an industry partner on best practices with data translations. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors in Computer Graphics Technology with a focus on Virtual Product Integration. He is currently undecided on his thesis.
Hanhdung Dinh (Tonia) is a master student studying Computer Graphic Technology at Purdue University with a research focus in Product Lifecycle Management. She completed her bachelor degree from Weber State University on Design Graphic Engineering Technology. Her degree focused heavily on Computer Aided Design for both Mechanical and Architecture study. She has worked for different industries within the past 2 years. Currently, she is a TA for the Computer Graphic Technology department.
