James L. Mohler is Professor of Computer Graphics Technology. Dr. Mohler has served in various administrative roles over the last 10 years. Dr. Mohler is a Purdue University Faculty Scholar and a member of the university-wide Teaching Academy. He often provides instructional and curricular input into many different programs. He has taught courses and had research focused on computer graphics, student learning, educational technology, instructional technology and research methods. He has taught technology courses at all levels, from first-year students to graduate level courses for majors and non-majors alike. He has also been involved in learning communities, student development, and workshops for graduate assistants and instructors. He continues to teach graduate courses and university honors courses.
Dr. Mohler has contributed to over a 21 texts related to computer graphics. He has presented over 60 papers and workshops at various conferences including international presentations in Austria, England, Finland, Portugal, and Russia. He has also authored over 71 articles for refereed, reviewed, or trade publications. He has been the recipient of 1.2 million dollars in grants or in-kind donations. He has worked with 34 graduate students as committee chair, and 49 as member.
