Richard D. Kopp is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology for Purdue University at New Albany. He earned a B.A. from Indiana University - Southeast and a M.F.A. from the University of Delaware. Prior to joining the faculty Richard worked as a publishing manager, assistant art director, and computer graphics artist. His current interests are in digital illustration, interactive media, video editing and digital painting. Professor Kopp began teaching for Purdue in 1994. Richard is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques and a past president of the Society of Technical Communication's local Kentuckiana chapter.
From 2010-2013 Professor Kopp was a board member and Communications Officer for the Arts Council of Southern Indiana, New Albany, IN.
Starting October of 2013 Professor Kopp became a board member and web master for the Vintage Fire Museum in Jeffersonville, IN.
