Director Enterprise Risk Management for Health Care REIT

When searching for a degree program as an adult student, Tim had strict beliefs about what the curriculum should offer. He found a perfect match in the College of Technology’s computer technology program.

“Purdue offered a strong curriculum that integrated math, business, and science in the framework of solving technology problems based upon business factors,” according to Tim. Over the years his career has benefited from the skills developed in the CIT program.

Since graduating from Purdue Tim has worked as a network analyst at Kimberly Clark, led the Network Services practice at CIBER, directed Operations at Zama, and led Business Continuity programs in Customer Support and Operations at Microsoft. Currently Tim directs the ERM program at Health Care REIT, managing corporate risk across the enterprise.

The lessons learned as a student from past professors, such as James Goldman, have been a vital part of every work experience since: define the problem and craft the right solution that suites the business needs. Since earning his degree, Tim has worked for a wide variety of companies in many business sectors and of varying sizes from Internet start-ups to large multi–national corporations.

Tim is a 2008 Distinguished Technology Alumni award winner and has been a CIT Lecturer since 2011.

Tim and his wife Cindy, also a Purdue graduate, currently reside in Carmel, Indiana.
