Information Storage And Management

Credit Hours: 3.00.  This course provides a comprehensive introduction to information storage technology. It prepares students to make more informed decisions about data storage and also to learn advanced concepts, technologies, and products. Topics include the architectures, features, and benefits of intelligent storage systems; networked storage technologies such as FC-SAN, NAS, and IP-SAN; and long-term archiving solutions such as CAS. Other topics include business continuity, back-up and recovery, virtualization, security, and management. Students will gain hands-on experience with installing and configuring storage management technologies.
