Internal Combustion Engines

Credit Hours: 3.00.  Introduces the operating principles of internal combustion engines with emphasis on performance, efficiency, and emissions. Students will evaluate engine performance through geometric, kinematic, and thermodynamic analysis. Introduces advanced thermodynamic cycles and trends in internal combustion engine technology.
