Plastics Manufacturing Systems

Credit Hours: 3.00.  Basic control theory, heat transfer, machine design principles, and basic polymer science are applied to analysis and design of polymer manufacturing systems. Emphasis is placed on thermoplastics processes such as extrusion and injection molding. Projects include design of new machinery, major renovations of existing processes, and automation of processes.
