Applied Metallurgy

Credit Hours: 3.00.  Metals used in common engineering applications are studied to determine how their properties are achieved. Photomicrographic and other methods are employed to investigate the alloying, hotworking, coldworking, and heat treating processes of these metals. Detection, identification, and diagnosis of metal failure are included.
