Continuous Term Lecturer

The Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University invites applications for a Continuous Term Lecturer appointment in Computer and Information Technology. This position would begin the Fall 2015 semester and be at the Kokomo, Indiana, location. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses including but not limited to application development, systems analysis, and database design. Technologies currently used in the curriculum include Oracle SQL, C#, and JAVA. The candidate should have an interest in traditional and distance learning. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, assist in the development of new curricular materials, and promote the Computer and Information Technology degree program. Applicants should have an earned M.S. or Ph.D. in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline and must have relevant, recent industry experience. Prior teaching experience is desirable but not required. Continuous term lecturers are hired for an initial period of two years, with no limit on the number of additional one-year contract extensions subject to performance and teaching demands.
