Aviation alumna named "Next Gen 40 Under 40" award winner

Eli TildenAircraft Maintenance Technology Magazine named Elizabeth (Eli) Tilden, a 2003 graduate of Purdue Polytechnic‘s School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, as winner of a 2018 Next Gen 40 Under 40 Award. Tilden earned a master’s degree in industrial technology and is now general manager of airframe supplier operations at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, Ga.

”Eli has a passion for safety and the aviation maintenance business,” said Jim Hickey, program manager for organization designation authorization (ODA) engineering at Delta Air Lines. “Her projects have driven practices that make aircraft maintenance technicians more safety-minded.“

The magazine presents the award to industry professionals who ”have a passion for aviation, whether it’s maintenance, education, executive management, general aviation, business aviation, antique aircraft, rotorcraft, military, or airline. They all love what they do and want to keep improving themselves and the industry.”
