In the news: Indiana companies sought for technology adoption partnerships

The Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center - IN-MaC - is accepting applications for its initial program involving technology adoption.

Led by Purdue's colleges of Technology and Engineering and Krannert School of Management, IN-MaC works to attract, retain and grow high-value manufacturing industries in Indiana.

IN-MaC's first program involves technology adoption partnership projects with Indiana-based companies and facilities. Projects chosen will concentrate on digital engineering for production design, product lifecycle management, or production systems modeling and design.

Gary Bertoline, dean of the College of Technology, says IN-MaC is a perfect fit for the college’s mission.

“The technology adoption program is an important element in the experiential-learning environment we provide all students in the College of Technology,” he said.  “Real-world experiences result in better prepared graduates for business and industry.  Faculty gain benefits in working on real world problems, as well, because it sharpens their understanding of the needs of industry.”
