Two female Purdue University students took off June 9 from Purdue University Airport in a small plane for a four-day race that crosses the entire country, beginning June 16 in Concord, California, and finishing in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
UPDATE for results: The team placed 20th overall and 8th in the collegiate team category. They also received an award for fourth fastest place during the fifth leg of the race.

Chantel Steele and Amanda Keck, professional flight majors in the College of Technology, left yesterday (June 12) to represent Purdue in the Air Race Classic flight competition. The race starts June 19.
They will be assisted by a ground crew at the Purdue University Airport.
