Adam Kirby, who graduated with a PhD in Technology in May, was honored for his research at the recent IEEE Symposium on Technologies for Homeland Security.
Kirby’s paper titled “Active Shooter Mitigation for Gun-Free Zones” placed second among all papers in the Attack and Disaster Preparation, Recovery, and Response category. The category had more than 30 entrants from around the world.
