Furnas Foundation Controls Lab

The Furnas Foundation Controls Lab is equipped with 11 identical work cells comprised of networked Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable-Frequency Drives (VFDs), and servo drives.  The laboratory supports introductory courses in Industrial Automation, Process Control and Industrial Communication Systems.  All laboratory equipment is linked to a dedicated manufacturing network shared with the Advanced Manufacturing Center allowing for remote management and monitoring of all devices.
