The Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University has become an academic member of International Institute of Business Analysis™(IIBA), the world’s leading association for business analysis professionals.
“Being an academic member enables the department to forge a strong relationship with IIBA® and provides our faculty the opportunity to collaborate on programs such as our new master’s degree option in information technology business analysis,” said Kevin C. Dittman, associate professor of computer and information technology.
The new ITBA master’s degree program is available on campus and in a 100 percent online format designed for working professionals. Because of the IIBA partnership, Purdue faculty and students will have the opportunity to take advantage of IIBA products and services for free or at discounted rates, including memberships and certifications.
In September, Dittman and Matthew Wagner, outreach specialist from the Purdue University Center for Professional Studies, represented Purdue at the IIBA Central Indiana Chapter’s annual Professional Development Day. The event provided opportunities to reinforce the academic initiatives and opportunities that Purdue offers to numerous business analysts in the Indianapolis area.
