Digital manufacturing research begins at new Manufacturing Design Laboratory

This connects with Purdue's 150 Years of Giant Leaps to a Sustainable World - Innovate Today for a Sustainable TomorrowThe Manufacturing Design Laboratory, a research space that will focus on infusing Purdue resources and statewide manufacturing expertise into digital manufacturing technology, was dedicated Jan. 30. The new lab is part of the Indiana Manufacturing Institute (IMI) at the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette.

More than 40 faculty from the Purdue Polytechnic Institute and College of Engineering participate in research and programs at IMI. The new facility will allow researchers to offer more ways to demonstrate new processes and technologies for the manufacturing industry.
