Purdue cybercrime expert named Fulbright Scholar for her work targeting child sex offenders in Spain

Kathryn Seigfried-Spellar, associate professor of computer and information technology, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar for her work in cybersecurity — specifically, for her upcoming research that will analyze the criminological differences and online grooming strategies of child sexual exploitation offenders in Spain, train Spanish law enforcement officers, and conduct community safety seminars.

Construction management capstone instructors honored for exceptional teaching during pandemic

Purdue Polytechnic instructors in the School of Construction Management Technology found innovative ways to teach the business of construction management to Purdue students during the pandemic. Their creative tactics included video classes, virtual presentations and cross-departmental collaborations, which earned them Purdue’s award for Exceptional Teaching and Instructional Support.

Graduating senior named G.A. Ross Award winner

Zachary Marshall, a senior who double-majored in aeronautical and astronautical engineering and aerospace financial analysis, was selected to receive the G.A. Ross Award. The award is given to the University’s outstanding graduating senior man who demonstrates high standards of academic achievement, outstanding leadership, strength of character and contribution to Purdue.
